I had the privilege of working with Carlos at the former British Caledonian Airways many years ago, where he proved to be an exemplary, dedicated and highly responsible professional. The 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea and Japan represented the greatest professional challenge we had ever faced. It was the most distant World Cup, the first to be hosted by two countries and across 20 host cities, in nations where communication was not always straightforward. Most importantly, it was the first World Cup production undertaken by DirecTV Latin America. We transported and accommodated more than 170 people of various nationalities, travelling from seven countries across three continents. It was a true military-style operation that lasted nearly 70 days. Not a single incident occurred, everything worked exactly as planned and, in the end, we can proudly say that we won the battle. CP Turismo was undoubtedly fundamental to this success. Its involvement in every stage of the project, from planning to execution, its commitment to finding solutions for every challenge, its on-site presence throughout the entire event, and its tireless dedication to ensuring the flawless delivery of the production all demonstrate CP Turismo’s ability to manage any event, as it is unlikely to encounter a project of such complexity again.
